The basic design of the headlights does not allow for a sufficient level of lighting to safely operate the vehicle at night. There is virtually no lateral lighting, and the headlights do not illuminate the way forward, they only drop a shutter in front of the lights when one switches from low beam to high. There is no increase in light intensity or volume when switching to bright lights. Recall and fix!!!!!!

The headlights on this vehicle are horrible, low beams are of no use except in the city traffic and high beams are only slightly better. High beams are not sufficient for driving on dark roads. Hopefully gm will offer to repair/replace these before there are deaths to report.

2014 gmc sierra 1500 z-71 projection headlights are with out a doubt a safety hazard. Not only are they dim but they do not "project" far enough down the road in either the low or high beam modes. Unsafe because one over drives the beam projected. Unsafe because one cannot see off to the sides where deer and other animals approach sometimes at high speeds. There is no doubt in my mind that general motors will have…

The headlights on this truck are inadequate for driving at night. If it's raining at night, i won't drive it. I bought a new truck from gmc , it's unsafe to drive at night, and gmc should fix it !!

The headlights are not bright enough for night driving on country roads without street lights, on bright or dim mode. These are the worse headlights on any car i have ever owned, i personally have bought 4 brand new gmc pickups, this is the worse. I never thought about test driving at night, i trusted them, wrong!

Headlights are not bright enough. Headlights are useless at night. Dealership changed bulbs and reprogrammed. Vehicle is still dangerous to drive at night. Vehicle has been this way since new.

The headlights are terrible for night driving...very poor visibility. It is very dangerous to drive at night and is a safety concern.. Gm refuses to correct this very poor visibility caused by the headlights. *tr

Headlights are too dim in 2014 gmc sierra. To the point of dangerous to pedestrians and wildlife. The lights hinder the ability of drivers to see and avoid anything that may wonder into the vehicles path. By the time the headlight illuminate the object it'll be too late! "save some life", persuade general motors to fix future vehicles and possibly recall existing ones. *tr

The headlights on my 2014 gmc sierra 1500 are very very dim. Both low beam and high beam make it very diffiucult to see very far in front. I have been driving gm trucks for over 50 years and have never encountered lighting so terrible. With the deer in penna. Moving at night this time of year i am at times reluctant to go over 35mph. I can't believe that gm has not made some kind of change to their headlight system…

Problem was present from the day i bought truck new. I live in a very rural area and the headlights are too dim to drive safely at night. Vehicle has been back to the dealer twice, once to replace bulbs and reprogram the bcm. Still not bright enough to feel safe driving at night. Second trip to the dealer they adjusted headlight up to high end of spec. Still not bright. I'm to the point of installing an after market…

Headlights do not provide adequate illumination for night driving. Should be considered a safety hazard to occupants and others on the road. Poor design and/or specifications on gm's part to allow the usage of this headlamp configuration on any vehicle on the road today. This issue needs to be addressed and resolved asap. *js

When i first started driving my new 14 gmc i had never had a truck with projector headlights so i was unsure if it was just me that had to adjust to the beam of light they provide or if it was a problem with the lighting itself. After having driven my 14 silevrado work truck with standard lights i realize there is a huge problem with the gmc projector lights they are so bad it makes you think there is a faulty…

The headlights on the 2014 gmc sierra do not supply enough light while driving at night. I was shocked at how little light they put out. It is almost dangerous to drive at night due to the fact that visibility is so limited. *tr

Today for the first time i drove my 2014 sierra texas edition in the rain at night.... Wow>>>>> i had to stop and wait for the rain downpour to let out so i could see where i was going. Not good. Driving at night is very stressful and eye straining to the point of taking headache medications once you are done driving. Any way to fix this extremely dangerous problem? This should be considered a safety hazard to…

Highway driving at night where dear/vehicle collisions happen on a daily (or nightly) basis with the poor light output of the headlights in the 2014 sierra is, simply put, to be avoided in my opinion as well as all those who have ridden with me at night. One actually believed i was joking and asked me to turn the real headlights on, if that says anything about what my complaint is about today. I have avoided night…

While driving from alabama to pennsylvania in my new gmc i had to slow down to 15 mph under the posted limit due to poor illumination of the road. The high beam headlights shine no where on the road. I once almost missed a turn on a road i drive daily, on another occasion i barely avoided hitting two deer aside the road because the lights broadcast center of road and do not shine at all left or right. The headlight output on my new 2014 gmc sierra is so poor that i cannot drive the vehicle safely at night. In fact, i do not drive it at all unless it is absolutely necessary. The headlights (both low and high beams) are ineffective and inadequate. The forward throw is bad, but the peripheral throw is even worse. There is essentially no peripheral light and this makes for very hazardous conditions when negotiating a dark curve. I am constantly checking to see if the headlights are operating - even when the 'icon' on the dashboard says they are 'on', it is impossible to know that they are…

The headlights on this truck are unsafe, they do not project enough light ahead for safe driving at night. One has to depend on the street lighting or stars. I have come close to hits others on the roads for the lack of projection of these lights. The truck becomes a hazard on the highway do to the slow speed one has to travel to stay within the headlights. Please address this with gmc before someone is hurt or…
