    While driving on a street in my neighborhood, we found that the ignition switch could be moved to the "off" or "accessory" position while driving. Noticed that steering, brakes, and other components became disabled. Luckily we were able to safely move the vehicle to the roadside and assess the situation.     Excessive rust build up on brake rotors and calipers. Rotors & pads previously replaced in mar., 2007 after driving 40,000 miles. Needed replacement again in oct., 2009 after only driving 14,000 additional miles. Instrument cluster failed and was replaced in june, 2011 at 58,000 miles.     I have called repeatedly and filed reports of electrical and the brakes in the 99 gmc suburban. I have called several times about the smell of electrical burning . No one cared.
