The dash on the 2007 gmc sierra has cracked. This could have an affect on the air bag when deployed. The air bag could be cut by the pieces of plastic. This also should not happen especially when it cost around 1000 dollars just to replace. This has happened over time due to poor manufacturing plastic product.

The dash board of my vehicle has cracks in it. More and more cracks are beginning to develop over the airbag. I am worried about the airbag deploying with sharp plastic pieces pointing at it. I think this is a hazard to all drivers. Every gm truck/tahoe from 2007-2013 (that i have seen) have these ugly and dangerous cracks in them.

Multiple cracks on the dash board. The edges of the plastic are very sharp and could be hazardous in the event of a collision. The first crack appeared on the passenger side on the just above the air bag. It is now cracking on the drivers side. I have had chunks of plastic fall off while driving and the fall through the instrument panel and steering column to the floor.
