My 2010 gmc sierra has 47,000 miles on it, primarily sits in a temperature controlled garage, and has 3 cracks in the dash. Two of the cracks happned while sitting stationary in the garage. Two of the cracks are connected to the air bag creating a hazard. Gmc nor the dealer will take care of this considering a lot of complaints by other owners.

The dash board is cracking in several places. Namely above the steering wheel and near the passenger side air bag. There was no stress or impacts to the dash that would have caused the cracking. The manner and locations of the cracks could cause the dash to fragment and cause injuries to occupants in the event of an airbag deployment.

Dash panel crack near passenger airbag. This is the second dash that has been placed in the vehicle. The first dash was replaced on 07/23/2013 at 31,093 miles. The replaced dash cracked while stationary on 05/28/2017 at 73,197 miles. This is a known problem with 2007-2013 gmc vehicles.

Passenger side dash is cracking right behind the air bag. Had a similar issue fixed in february or march of 2014. Almost 3 years later the new dash is cracked.
