Ac problem - my ac just went out for the third time since i bought this truck new in 2013. I went to have it repaired and was quoted ~$1,000 for a new ac condenser. After researching online, it looks like this is a very common and expensive problem that gm hasn't resolved.

The door locks dont always lock. Discharge hose failed causing air conditioning to not function. It leaked at the bend, near the compressor. This is a known issue as there was a bracket made to reduce vibration and increase life of hose. Very many failures of this hose and condenser.

Air conditioning began not producing cold air. In less than a couple hours only ambient air was being blown out of the vents. This is a known problem with gm vehicles years 2014-2015. Gm has put out a service bulletin to it's dealers on this problem yet refuses to assist it's customers. Based on online searches there are thousands of gm customers who are having the same issue.

The ac condenser was leaking, which made the ac blow hot air. After much research, this has been an ongoing, and known, issue that has not been addressed. Many individuals have been taken advantage of monetarily (me just yesterday) because of this issue, and needs to be recalled.
